Diogo Dalot has signed a new five-year contract at Manchester United, the club announced.

The Portuguese right-back has agreed a new deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2028, with an option for a further year.

Dalot is one of a number of players who have improved under Erik ten Hag after facing an uncertain future at United when he was loaned to AC Milan in the 2020/21 season.

The 24-year-old shared right-back duties with Aaron Wan-Bissaka this season, making 42 appearances in total ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester at Wembley.

Dalot, who signed from FC Porto in 2018 for £19million, said: “Playing for Manchester United is one of the highest honors you can get in football.” We’ve shared some fantastic moments together over the last five years, and I have grown so much and my passion for this incredible club has only increased since I joined.
