Millie, who will play a character named Ruby on the series, struggled with the freezing temperatures while filming on location in the city.

The TV star wore a bright orange turtleneck top, dark green jacket and green checked skirt for the scene.

She let her blonde tresses fall loosely over her shoulders and also wore a pair of black tights and matching boots.

The actress was seen in the back seat of a black cab for part of the scene before chatting to the crew members between takes.

Doctor Who returns in November 2023 with three special episodes to coincide with the series’ 60th anniversary, with David Tennant as the fourteenth Doctor.

The Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti, will then take control of the TARDIS, with its first episode airing during the festive season next year.

In October, Jodie Whittaker stepped down from her role as The Doctor and was replaced by returning star David for upcoming anniversary episodes.

The Doctor’s power was filled with excitement as famous faces returned, Jodie retired after five years as Time Lord, David returned and fans got their first glimpse of Ncuti Gatwa as the 14th Doctor.

A number of former assistants – including Janet Fielding, who plays Tegan – and former doctors Peter Davison and Colin Baker have guest-starred in the epic.

The episode came to a very dramatic conclusion when Jodie’s Doctor shockingly transformed into a very familiar face – David Tennant’s 10th Doctor.

Though she wasn’t ready to regenerate yet, she said while watching the sunset, “The most flowery bloom. That’s the only sad thing. I want to know what happens next.

“Well then, doctor, whoever-I-will-become. Hello, it’s you,” before Tennant made his shocked entrance.

The newly regenerated Doctor ran his fingers over his teeth and said, clearly perplexed, “I know them” as he returned to his former body.

David returns for three special episodes, airing in November 2023, after saying goodbye to the role in 2010.

The 60th celebration of the feature-length sci-fi series will also star Catherine Tate, reprising her role as companion Donna Noble.

Jodie’s last episode on Sunday night ended with a short trailer for the anniversary episodes, which hit screens in 2023.

The trailer teased Ncuti’s much-anticipated arrival when the star was asked, “Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on?”

After the episode, returning showrunner Russell T. Davies said, “If you thought David Tennant’s performance came as a shock, we have many more surprises on the way!”

“The path to Ncuti’s Fifteenth Doctor is filled with mystery, horror, robots, puppets, danger and fun! And how does it relate to the return of the wonderful Donna Noble? How, what, why? We’ll give you a year to speculate, and then all hell will break loose!’
