Ex-President Donald Trump called his rapist, E. Jean Carroll, “insane” and a “maniac,” according to a recent unsealed statement.
According to the transcript, Trump said under oath: “She said I did something to her that never happened. There was nothing. I don’t know anything about this crazy job.”
The deposition was in October 2022. In another segment, the 2024 presidential candidate said, “I don’t know anything about her. I think she’s sick, mentally ill.” Trump went on to say that his accuser was “not his type.”
The release of excerpts from the testimony came the same day that federal judge Lewis A. Kaplan also denied a motion by Trump’s attorneys to dismiss two of Carroll’s lawsuits alleging defamation and rape. A trial is planned for April.

In his testimony that lasted for days, he repeatedly attacked Carroll’s portrayal of Trump as a rapist.
