dr Dre is said to be selling a collection of his catalog and streaming earnings in a deal said to be between $200 million and $250 million.
Sources told Variety that the 57-year-old native of Compton, California, is in the final stages of a two-transaction deal with Shamrock Holdings and Universal Music Group.
The Beats Electronics founder, who stopped Marjorie Taylor Greene from continuing to use his music on social media earlier this week, had bought the package, which is estimated to bring in $10 million a year, through his attorney Peter Paterno, the reported point of sale.

Billboard first reported on the business transaction involving the rap veteran, whose real name is Andre Young.
The package the Forgot About Dre artist is selling reportedly includes a percentage of his royalties earned as a member of the group NWA
It also includes a pair of his solo records; Producer royalties; and earnings from his royalties for writing material to which he has no publishing rights (which could include tracks from 1993’s The Chronic).
Insiders told Billboard that Shamrock, which also owns some of Taylor Swift’s master recordings, owns about 75 to 90 percent of the revenue-generating share and that UMG owns the other 10 to 25 percent

UMG would acquire the recording of The Chronic, released in August by Dr. Dre to Death Row Entertainment (owned by Snoop Dogg).
It would also be contemplated that Dr. Dre’s share of part of Kendrick Lamar’s catalogue.
The package does not include his ownership rights to the Aftermath label, which he owns with Interscope Records.
