Ekin-Su Culculoglu was terrified on her flight home from Turkey on Friday when the engine “exploded with flames and sparks”.
The 29-year-old “Love Island” star, who is visiting her home country with boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, likened the experience to “something out of a movie”.
She later added that shortly after leaving Bodrum Airport, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Antalya.
Sharing the incident on Twitter, Ekin-Su wrote: “Nightmare experience @jet2tweets Bodrum to Manchester flight, left side engine exploded four times, flames and sparks… something out of a movie.”

Ekin-Su and Davide documented their journey on Instagram as the couple got back together after their split.
The Love Island beauty got her heart racing as she sunbathed in a tiny yellow bikini next to her shirtless on-off boyfriend Davide on Thursday.
The reality TV star had a freshly brushed pedicure in summery white and paired with oversized sunglasses.
Davide, who posted the photo to his Instagram Stories, wore a pair of navy swim trunks and Essential sunglasses.
The couple flaunted their bodies while sunbathing on a sun lounger right next to a crystal clear pool.
Davide captioned the image: “A scene already seen.”
The ‘Love Island’ stars, who rose to fame after winning the ITV2 dating show together last summer, announced their split in June after an 11-month relationship.
However, speculation about the relationship arose back in July after a picture showed them leaving the ITV summer party together.

Now the couple have “confirmed” they are back together by flying to Ekin-Su’s native Turkey for a romantic getaway.
Davide shared a sweet video on Instagram of him putting his arm around his girlfriend during a day at the beach and joking, “I’ve found someone I think I know.”
The pair then got their own TV show, during which they traveled to their hometowns in Italy and Turkey to meet each other’s families and moved in together in August 2022.
However, the couple announced their split in June.
