A high society thief from a prominent Sydney family has narrowly escaped jail after being caught red-handed stealing luxury face creams and designer clothes from a Westfield shopping centre.
Elisha Dalah, 35, the older sister of fishbowl restaurateur Nathan Dalah and sister-in-law of Victoria’s Secret model Georgia Fowler, was snubbed by Judge Jacqueline Milledge when she pleaded not to be sent to prison despite her long history of shoplifting and drug abuse.
Dalah’s parents are former rag dealer and former co-owner of Elizabeth Bay Marina Michael Dalah and his wife Michelle. In addition to Nathan, she has a designer brother, Jordan, and an actor sister, Sophie.
Waverley Magistrates’ Court heard the mother-of-one stole a $249 Tommy Hilfiger sweater and $170 “Youth Lift” face cream with a “detagger” in Westfield Bondi Junction on July 14 had.

Plainclothes police officers watched her leave Tommy Hilfiger and steal the face cream before arresting her and charging her with shoplifting and violating the mall entry order.
Dalah had just served her suspended sentence for other shoplifting when she was arrested.
“I’m sorry I have a problem, can I pay for the items now… I don’t know why I’m stealing, I don’t have to steal, I’m working, I just can’t help it,” she told police The Daily Telegraph.
Dalah’s problems began when she started using drugs at 14, injecting heroin after learning of her former partner’s cancer diagnosis before the thefts.
The court found that she had been sober for eight months, visited rehab twice, continued to seek substance abuse and psychological counseling, and had no criminal offenses since the indictment.

Dalah is said to be working as a barista at her family business, Laissez-Faire Catering, at the Alexandria in Sydney. She lives with her with her son Parents’ palatial waterfront mansion in exclusive Point Piper.
Judge Milledge said in a brutally candid sentencing: “Everything I’ve read suggests that you see yourself as a victim – you are not a victim.”
“You said, ‘I’m a kleptomaniac, I act on impulse’ — you’re calculating, manipulative and deceitful, and your family knows it because they’ve explored that side of you for many years.”
Dalah was sentenced to 20 months in prison and 200 hours of community service.
Dalah was also fined $500 Entering Westfield Bondi Junction during Prohibition.
