Elizabeth Olsen Warns Future Marvel Stars Against Signing Multi-Movie Deals: ‘Just Give Them One’
Elizabeth Olsen has some words of wisdom for any actor thinking about dressing up for the role of a Marvel superhero – and cautions against multi-movie deals.
The 34-year-old WandaVision star – who recently went for a chic walk in Los Angeles – has been a mainstay in the Marvel Universe since 2015, playing the Scarlet Witch in six films and two streaming shows.
Olsen used all these experiences and went further Happy, sad, confused Podcast and shared host Josh Horowitz’s advice for any future superhero.
Olsen said that actors should only commit to one film at the beginning in order to have more control.
“I say just give them one.” [movie],’ She said. “I think it gives you more control.”

The Avengers: Endgame star went on to explain why it’s wiser to dip a toe at a movie than jump with both feet.
She said, “When you’re like, ‘Oh my god, this is the most fun I’ve ever had, and I love this character so much I want to do it again,’ then now you have more creative control.” for the next.’
Elizabeth has expressed frustration at being signed to several Marvel films in the past.
In conversation with the New York Times Last year she hinted that she was missing out on important roles because they conflicted with her Marvel schedule.
“It took away from the physical ability for me to do certain tasks that I thought were more in line with what I enjoy as a viewer,” Olsen said. “And I’m the honest one.”
The leading lady admitted one of those ‘specific jobs’ was a role in ‘The Lobster’ – Yorgos Lanthimos’ acclaimed, Oscar-nominated 2015 surreal comedy.
Addressing her professional “frustration,” Elizabeth told the New York Times that she sacrifices passionate projects for “job security.”
‘“I started to get frustrated,” she said. “I had that job security, but I lost those parts that I felt were more of a part of who I was.” And the further I got away from that, the less I was considered for it.’

But those days are supposedly over, according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige The Hollywood Reporter in 2021.
Freed from her multiple film commitments as the Scarlet Witch, Elizabeth proves her immense talent in an exciting new role outside of the Marvel Universe.
She received positive reviews for her portrayal of real-life murderess Candy Montgomery in the Max Limited series Love & Death, in which she plays a church mother who ends up picking up an ax and murdering her friend in 1980.
