Epic Games Vaults cheat playlists in Fortnite

Fortnite’s Among Us-inspired mode, Imposters, has been vaulted. Here’s what you need to know.

Today Epic Games released their v21.50 update for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. As the season draws to a close, a number of changes will be introduced to online multiplayer. One such change sees the removal of Epic Games’ Imposters playlists – a mode heavily inspired by the popular party game Among Us.

In the v21.50 blog post, Epic Games said, “We’ve been vaulting the Impostors playlists while our teams focus on other Fortnite projects.”

“We want to say thank you to everyone who trusted, cheated and of course brought together Peely Party during its limited release.”

Epic Games introduced the mode back in August of last year, though it quickly came under fire for not immediately acknowledging Innersloths Among Us as an inspiration. On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, months after its initial release on August 17, Epic Games tweeted that Fortnite’s Social-Deduction Impostors game mode was actually “inspired by Among Us from Innersloth.”

Fortnite’s Imposters mode follows the same format as Among Us, adopting a third-person perspective rather than the original’s top-down view.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear if Epic Games plans to reveal the mode at a later date.
