Eric Bailly agrees to a one-year deal with Besiktas as the Manchester United defender FINALLY prepares to leave Old Trafford
- Eric Bailly is expected to join Turkish club Besiktas after agreeing to leave Man United
- The 29-year-old centre-back will sign a one-year contract with the Turkish club
- Bailly has been struggling with injuries and spent last season on loan at Marseille
Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is on the verge of a permanent move to Besiktas, while Erik ten Hag prepares to finally ditch the unwanted defender.
Bailly joined United from Jose Mourinho’s La Liga side Villarreal in a £30m deal seven years ago but failed to convince Ten Hag he was worthy of a place in his squad.
The 29-year-old was loaned to French club Marseille last season before returning to United at the end of the season after his loan period expired.
However, Bailly is now on the verge of a Turkey move as talks between United, Besiktas and Bailly are still at an advanced stage.
Bailly has been courted by the Turkish club throughout the transfer window and will sign a one-year deal at Besiktas, where he aims to rekindle his tenuous career.
