Former NFL wide receiver Mike Williams has reportedly died at the age of 36 as a result of an accident at a construction site.
The Syracuse collegiate star, who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL for five years, retired from football in 2016.
During his time in the NFL, he earned a total of $11,848,250, mostly from the Chiefs, who drafted him in the fourth round in 2010 and gave him a four-year contract.
Williams was reportedly working at a construction site for the past few weeks and suffered a fatal accident while there.
His death was first reported by Buffalo Bills beat reporter Jon Scott, who confirmed the news from multiple sources.
