EXCLUSIVE: Jason Momoa is “over the moon” that his stepdaughter Zoe Kravitz is engaged to his “best friend” Channing Tatum – and is even “taking credit” for setting the couple up

Jason Momoa is said to be “smitten” with his stepdaughter Zoe Kravitz as speculation swirls that she is engaged to Channing Tatum – and he even reckons he set the couple up.

Zoe, 34, was pictured with a dazzling diamond sparkler on her ring finger as she stepped out in costume with the 43-year-old Magic Mike star last weekend.

Jason – who was in a relationship with Zoe’s mother Lisa Bonet for 12 years – is happy for the couple and already considers his boyfriend Channing “family”.

“Jason is over the moon about Zoe and Channing’s engagement,” a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. “Zoe is a daughter to him and Channing has been one of his best friends for a long time [Zoe] was together [him].’

The couple appeared to announce their happy news at a Halloween party on Saturday when Zoe was pictured with a sparkling diamond sparkler on her ring finger

The Game of Thrones alum reportedly feels like he helped bring the lovebirds together, and the source added, “Jason can’t help but try to take the credit for their engagement.”

They continued, “Zoe looks up to Jason like a father, and Jason and.” [her biological  father] Lenny Kravitz is also close. It’s a very modern family situation.

“Welcoming Channing to their family is the best thing ever because he already considers him family.”

According to the insider, the entire family is “thrilled” and looking forward to an “epic” wedding.

Speculation about Channing and Zoe’s engagement first surfaced over the weekend when the actress was spotted wearing a large ring as she and boyfriend Kendall Jenner left their Halloween party.

Rumors of a relationship between the newly “engaged” couple first emerged in early summer 2021, when Zoe cast Channing in her directorial debut P***y Island.

Zoe tied the knot with actor Karl Glusman in 2019, but called it quits 18 months later.

Zoe spoke about Channing in an interview for Channing GQ’s Men of the Year 2022 Edition and praised him as “a wonderful person”.

In fact, the Sea star is said to feel like he helped bring the lovebirds together, as the source added: “Jason can’t help but try to take the credit for their engagement.”

Despite the separation from her mother, Jason and his stepdaughter remain close

“He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and exploring why we do what we do,” she shared.

As for what they like to do together, she said, “We love watching a movie, breaking it down, talking about it and challenging each other.”

She also said that she fell in love with him because he was so “sweet” and considerate towards her when they worked together on set.

“Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or getting someone in shape or whatever, he was really my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet,” she explained.

“I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test,” she continued. “And we came out of it even stronger.”
