EXCLUSIVE: Man gifted a £50,000 bionic penis after being born maleless is splitting from girlfriend who took his virginity aged 45

A man born without a penis has broken up with his girlfriend who took his virginity at the age of 45 thanks to his new bionic masculinity, MailOnline can reveal.
Andrew Wardle finally had sex with long-term girlfriend Fedra Fabian, 33, after having a £50,000 mechanical penile implant fitted in 2018.
The couple even discussed starting a family together or adopting.
But now they have celebrated as Fabian returned to their native Hungary, leaving Andrew, now 50, alone.
A source told MailOnline: “It’s sad but they’ve broken up after everything they’ve been through.”

Andrew Wardle, 50, has split from long-term girlfriend Fedra Fabian, 33, after losing his virginity to her at the age of 45 following a £50,000 mechanical penile implant implanted in 2018

Andrew, pictured in hospital, successfully underwent the final stages of penile implantation at London University Hospital

In a remarkable operation, doctors constructed his new penis from the skin, muscles and nerves in Andrew’s left arm and a vein in his leg

A diagram shows Andrew’s bionic penis being harvested from the skin of his forearm and a vein in his leg. It is then rolled into the shape of a manhood and secured. There is a penile implant inside the penis that pumps saline solution into the cylinder, making the penis erect for sexual intercourse
“They just grew apart, especially after Fedra had to return to Budapest to visit a sick relative.
“When someone is from a completely different country, things like this can happen.” It came to a natural conclusion.
“It ended about a year ago, but they were together for ten years.
“Andrew hasn’t been with anyone else. He still needs to undergo some medical procedures.
“He got feeling in his penis when he could enjoy sex. “But it wasn’t just about the sex for him, he also wanted to be healthy.”
Andrew, from Stalybridge, Gtr Manchester, suffers from a condition which affects one in 20 million people called bladder exstrophy. This means he was born without a penis, with one testicle and a bladder outside his body.
He endured years of torment at school and turned to drugs at the age of 18 to forget his health struggles.
As a child, he underwent surgery to create an artificial opening in his urinary system, called a stoma.
He had to undergo countless surgeries to create a tube from his bladder so he could urinate normally and suffered from kidney problems.

His rare birth defect led Andrew, pictured here with his girlfriend Fedra, to attempt suicide, but in 2012 he gained hope when he was referred to Dan Wood, a consultant urologist at UCLH in London

But in 2012, doctors gave him hope by building him a new bladder and penis.
Doctors operated on him at University College Hospital London in June and Andrew said he felt like the “bionic man”.
But he had to wait six weeks before he could have sex for the first time.
After the operation he told MailOnline: “I’m really pleased that I can now carry on.”
“But I think having sex for the first time is a bigger deal for everyone else than it is for me.”
“I haven’t had a penis for 44 years and haven’t been able to have sex the entire time.” It’s going to take a while to get to grips.
“Of course I’m looking forward to it. But for me it’s not the be-all and end-all. It’s a byproduct of the operation. It will allow me to feel part of society.
After pressing a button in his groin to pump up his “ridiculously large” new penis, he lost his virginity to Fedra.

A source told MailOnline: “It’s sad but they’ve broken up after everything they’ve been through.”

The source continued: “They just grew apart, especially after Fedra had to return to Budapest to see a sick relative.”
Andrew admitted it was “fantastic” to finally have sex.
He added: “After everything Fedra and I have been through, it’s icing on the cake.”
The couple appeared together on ITV1’s This Morning.
Fedra said, “We did it.” We built it in a different way, kind of the old school way.
“He’s my best friend, my partner in crime and we did it in just under six years.”
She added: “It was really natural, it only took about 30 minutes.” I was really nervous about not causing any pain, which is usually the other way around, isn’t it?
“It was just really magical.” “It was just nice to take the next step and open the door, but it wasn’t forced.”
