Her soft, minimal makeup look has been completed with a strong winged eye that’s perfect for almost any occasion.

To create a clean line like Penelope’s, Tomy’s secret weapon is a tapered angled brush.

“Use a tapered brush and black eyeshadow to outline the placement of your wing. After tracing your card with the eye shadow, bring the sharpness in with a liquid liner pen for precision.

To clean up the edges, the expert recommends using a concealer brush and a dab of foundation.

“I like to use a concealer brush and concealer as an eraser to sharpen the edges.”

To create a clean line like Penelope’s, celebrity makeup artist Tomy Rivero recommends tracing the placement of your wing with black eyeshadow, then layering it with liquid liner for precision

“Some people find that using a handheld mirror and pointing it up and over their forehead helps them see their eyelid better,” Tomy said.

However, the New York-based artist and owner of a Washington Heights salon of the same name warns that this method doesn’t work for everyone.

Some beauty junkies rely on eyeliner tape to achieve a straight line, but Tomy says, “I don’t like using anything that pulls on my skin around the eye area. I also feel that duct tape can give the eyes a very unnatural shape.”

To avoid smudging under the eye, the beauty expert recommends drawing an eyeshadow in the same color as your pencil under the lash line.

Supermodels are no strangers to experimental beauty, and all eyes were on Heidi Klum at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards.

The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge looked like she’d just stepped off a couture runway with mesmerizing ombré eye makeup.

“Green is a fabulous color for your makeup wardrobe this year because it enhances the eyes,” Tomy said.

He adds, “Jeweled green eyeshadow looks great on everyone and can be worn as an eyeshadow or just as an eyeliner for a pop without committing to a full green eye look.”

To achieve the stunning look, Tomy recommends applying a light concealer to the entire eyelid as a base and setting it with a loose powder.

Then add your highlight color in the corners of your eyes and just below the brow at the bone.

“After that, use a satin finish cream eyeshadow (I love the EpicLight Whispering Peach) to create the desired chaos and as a base for the shadow – this intensifies the pigments and locks them in for long-lasting wear.”

Though Tomy isn’t a fan of eyeliner tape, he recommends medical-grade tape for its gentle adhesion.

“Use a small piece of medical tape to create a sharp angle right at the lash line towards the end of the brow.

“Then blend your eyeshadow over the cream shadow in a cushioning motion. Blur the edges with a small conical blend brush (do not blend) and fill in the upper waterline with a black kajal pencil. Fill in any gaps between the lashes with the pencil, holding it close to the lash line.

“Use a liner brush and blend in the pencil – you want a creamy texture to brush through to create the illusion of a fuller lash line.”

Tomy preferred individual lashes to create a fluffy, tousled Heidi-like look, and a double coat of mascara on top and bottom lashes.

Though Tomy isn’t a fan of eyeliner tape, he recommends medical-grade tape for its gentle adhesion. He suggests using it to create a sharp angle from the lash line to the brow before shading

To recreate the James Charles look, Tomy recommends going over two lines with light shades of pencil, then covering them with a lighter colored liquid liner and using concealer in the exact color of your skin tone to erase flaws

According to Tomy, the trick to getting lines that perfect starts with finding a cream concealer that perfectly matches your skin tone.

“With a pencil that’s a few shades lighter than the final liner you’ll be using, draw two lines on your eyelid.

“Once you have your outline, paint over it with liquid liner.”

For a flawless finish, Tomy recommends using a brush and concealer to erase blemishes and enhance the shape of lines, then powder with a colorless translucent powder to prevent lines from blending.
