Fan-loved AR outperforms Warzone long-range meta after unstoppable buff

A fan-favorite AR in Call of Duty is now the best ranged option in Warzone after an unstoppable improvement.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 launched with a handful of weapon changes aimed at making up for some of the overpowered assault rifles in the game. However, as the season progresses, more and more weapon buffs and nerfs change the ranged combat meta. In the latest patch notes, the Kastov 762 and TR-76 Geist have been nerfed again, making room for a new weapon to dominate the battle royale.

Despite all the new weapons in Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the best assault rifle now seems to be the M4 again.

The fan-favorite M4 received an unstoppable buff with the October 23 patch. The damage range of the already elite weapon was increased, and both casual and professional players immediately noticed a difference.

Warzone content creator Luke “Metaphor” Canning revealed in his latest YouTube video that no other assault rifle beats the newly souped-up M4.

“They simply toned down every top-end AR while strengthening the M4,” metaphor explained. “This is a double improvement for the M4. Not only was the M4 improved, but the other guns were also toned down, especially the guns at the top.”

The perfect time for fans to try out the M4’s “double buff” is “The Haunting” event. Defeating the six Operation Nightmare bosses requires the best weapons in the game, and the M4 is certainly up to the task.
