FIFA 23 Team of the Year Icon Card Theme Leaked

The FIFA 23 Team of the Year Icon card design was leaked ahead of the expected inclusion of the card type in the FIFA Ultimate Team promotion.

Team of the Year Icons appears to be the next campaign icon release after World Cup Icons in November. Campaign Icons is a new map type in FIFA Ultimate Team, replacing Prime Icon Moments this year. EA Sports has chosen to remove Prime Icon Moments for a more dynamic performance curve for one of the most popular card types in the game. Campaign icons were first introduced with the WM update. World Cup Icons were rated between their medium and prime versions, although not every icon received a World Cup version.

The next campaign icon seems to be Team of the Year Icons. CriminalFIFA and Fut_scoreboard posted the map design on Twitter ahead of an announcement from EA Sports.

The card design is stunning, combining the icon card design with the team of the year design. Most would imagine that this set of campaign icons includes players that weren’t added in the WM update. Or EA Sports could choose to include a small number of icons who have also received World Cup cards.

Rating predictions are difficult to make as the base icons are already sold out. Medium symbols are becoming less and less relevant in the power curve, with Prime symbols dominating. Fans should expect Team of the Year Icon SBCs similar to Worlds. Carles Puyol, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Hristo Stoichkov were sacked during the World Cup celebrations.

FIFA 23 Team of the Year begins January 20th at 1pm ET.
