Florence Pugh WILL NOT attend the Don’t Worry Darling press conference at the Venice Film Festival… but she will walk the red carpet

Florence Pugh is set to skip the much-anticipated press conference for Olivia Wilde’s new film Don’t Worry Darling amid speculation there was friction between the actress and the director on set.

The 26-year-old actress – who stars in the film alongside Harry Styles, who was with the director during production – will land in Venice a few hours after the press conference, straight from the Budapest set of Dune Part 2, via Appointment.

She is expected to walk the red carpet with her co-stars, attend the photo op and attend the premiere screening before boarding a plane back to Budapest on Tuesday morning to get back to work on the Dune sequel.

The press conference is scheduled to take place at 12:15 p.m. Monday, although Pugh’s flight from Budapest will not arrive until 1:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m

The report claims that was always the plan for Pugh, who has been plotting it for the past few weeks before all the rumors of on-set trouble began to surface.

Pugh has been pretty sparse when it comes to promoting the film, which is slated to hit theaters September 23, with the actress only doing a cover story for Harper’s Bazaar.

She is not expected to do any more press for the film as she is expected to be filming Dune Part 2 until October.

Coincidentally, her Dune Part 2 co-star Timothee Chalamet gets ample time to do both the press conference and red carpet in Venice for his new film Bones For All, and it’s worth noting that both Dune Part 2 and Don’t Worry Darling both Warner Bros. films do this.

A report from Page Six in late July claimed Pugh was upset that Wilde hooked up with Styles — while he was still married to Jason Sudeikis — before they split in November.

“I can tell you for sure that when Flo saw Olivia and Harry on set, he didn’t go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first met Harry,” the source said.

Others have noted that Pugh has been sparse in posting about the film on her social media accounts, which has also fueled rumors of on-set friction.

Wilde has also commented on the film, revealing that she was “forced” to cut several sex scenes, adding, “We still live in a really puritanical society.”
