Former National Football League running back Dion Lewis was arrested in Florida on Monday.

As reported by TMZLewis was charged with trespassing before being released on $500 bail late Monday night.

Lewis is best remembered for his years with the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans.

Lewis won a Super Bowl with the AFC East franchise in the 2016 season, where the Pats defeated Atlanta 34-28 in Super Bowl LI thanks to 31 unanswered points.

He was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

After two seasons with Philly, he was traded to Cleveland. He also played for the Indianapolis Colts and finished his ten-year professional career with the New York Giants.

A native of Albany, New York, Lewis has returned to his roots since retiring from the league in 2021.

Earlier this year, the 32-year-old accepted a coaching position at the University of Albany as an assistant running backs coach.

After graduating from Albany High School, Lewis only had three scholarship offers; Pitt, Miami of Ohio and Tulane.

He chose Pennsylvania school and was named the Big East Offensive Player of the Year and a second-team All-American in 2009.
