Francis Ngannou has claimed it would be a “good night” for Tyson Fury if the British heavyweight allows a clean shot to land on his chin.
The two fighting stars finally faced off on Thursday, ahead of their highly anticipated crossover boxing match, which will take place on October 28 in Riyadh.
Many have suspected that Ngannou’s impressive knockout power, which he has demonstrated throughout his mixed martial arts career, could be the key to victory.
And during their press conference, the Cameroonian reiterated that notion, insisting that it will be “lights out” for Fury.
“When it lands… goodnight.” Lights out. What do you think will happen?’ said Ngannou.

The fighting stars will share the boxing ring in a bout dubbed the “Battle of the Baddest.”
He continued: “I mean, not to mention this is a heavyweight fight. “We know that anyone in the heavyweight division can take out anyone. You don’t have to have enormous power.’
Fury was then asked his opinion on the matter, to which he said, “I can’t really say anything about it until I feel its power.”
“I don’t know what it will be like. Will it be very different from all the other heavyweights I’ve fought? Probably not. Will it bounce off me? Probably. Because I’m bulletproof.
Before the press conference began, Fury was interviewed on the red carpet and boldly claimed that he would beat Ngannou in both boxing and MMA.
He said TNT Sports: “I would like to fight Ngannou in the cage, I think I can definitely beat him.” He is not a good wrestler, he is known for his punching power and I am a better striker than him. With small gloves I would knock him out in seconds.

Fury further suggested: “I would also fight Jon Jones in the cage if the money was right.”
The boxing star appears to have changed his tune after initially claiming he would only fight Jones in boxing.
In May, Fury recorded it his Instagram page to clarify his thoughts on the matter.
He wrote: “If you want to fight me, it has to be according to the rules of boxing.” “I don’t roll around on the ground, I stand up and punch.”
