Fraudster Melissa Caddick’s Edgecliff penthouse is hitting the Sydney real estate market after a $1 million deal ended years of acrimonious feuds with her parents
- Melissa Caddick’s penthouse in Sydney is for sale
- It is the deceased scammer’s last great fortune
Notorious scammer Melissa Caddick’s last major fortune, a luxury penthouse in Sydney’s east, will soon be sold to recoup some of the millions of dollars she stole.
This happens after the insolvency administrators have signed a multi-million dollar contract with her parents to move out of the posh apartment and eventually sell it.
Caddick disappeared from her home in Dover Heights, east Sydney, in November 2020 after filching more than $23 million from her friends and family.
Her victims believed she was investing the money, but instead she squandered the money on designer clothes, jewelry, foreign travel, multimillion-dollar real estate, and luxury cars.
An inquest in May found that Caddick had died but could not determine the date, cause of death or place of her death.

Jones Partners was tasked with investigating the scam and how much is owed to Caddick’s victims.
More than $10 million of the stolen money was recovered through the sale of Caddick’s assets — including $361,000 in cars and $884,000 in artwork and jewelry.
The most valuable sale to date has been that of her Dover Heights home, which sold for $9.8 million last spring.
Estate agents are hoping for a similarly high sale this spring for their Edgecliff penthouse in Sydney’s east – some 5km east of the city’s CBD.
Caddick bought the three-bedroom condo in 2016 for $2.55 million and convinced her parents to pay $1 million for a third of the ownership.
But instead of using the money to pay off the mortgage, she invested everything in her luxury lifestyle of fast cars, chic vacations and designer clothes.

Her parents received $950,000 on Monday in exchange for vacating the property after a bitter court battle involving their daughter’s victims.
The home will hit the market in the coming weeks and is expected to sell for up to $5.1 million Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Several notable Australians live in the area, including mountain heiress Leonie Baldock.
