One website, altsforyou.tk, claims to generate accounts for a variety of games, including Fortnite. Upon arriving at the site, visitors can generate a shortened URL that connects them to an account after viewing a series of ads and pop-ups. The websites sometimes ask for a large amount of personal information, including a user’s full name, physical address, and phone number, just to create an account.

Checking out the source code of the website, it becomes clear that the website has a predefined list of URLs ready to be generated, which means that visitors will get repeated links and accounts after updating the generator. After browsing the advertisement, the website gives the visitor an email address and password to use in the game’s client, but this information does not work when entered on the login page, resulting in an error code or incorrect password pop-up leads.

In short, these account generators don’t work. These sites often ask visitors for private and personal information that should never be freely given out on these types of sites. Likewise, buying and selling accounts is against the game’s Terms of Service and may result in players having their accounts revoked or banned from the game itself.

There’s no easy, penniless way to get skins in Fortnite, aside from the recently added gifting option in patch 6.31, where friends can gift players skins and items that expire on December 4th.
