Schools across the UK were forced to close today as Storm Ciaran hit the country with 98mph winds and torrential rain.
Students will see a Covid-style return to remote learning as the UK battles hurricane-force winds and rain during the storm.
In some areas along the south coast of England, people have been warned not to go outside or take risks due to the yellow “danger to life” warning issued by the Met Office.
Serious incidents have been reported in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Jersey and hundreds of schools have been closed across southern England.
