Gemma Owen put on a glamorous show as she caused a stir for her latest shoot with PrettyLittleThing in Italy on Sunday.

The former Love Island star, 19, wowed the gorgeous look in a backless white silk dress as he worked her best angles for the camera.

The incredible number had a flattering halterneck design and hugged her toned figure in all the right places.

The beauty also showed off her legs as the party dress featured a daring thigh split while she boosted her height with huge nude heels.

Gemma wore her usual bronzed tan and accessorised with striking gold jewelry while holding a red rose for the photos.

She wore her brunette locks in an updo with pretty tendrils around her face and opted for a glamorous makeup look.

It comes after Gemma opened up about the heartbreaking loss of her beloved horse, Sirius, in a candid conversation on Wednesday earlier this week.

The dressage rider said she “will never get over it” in a YouTube video posted just days after the tragic death of a beauty queen at her family’s stable.

On Tuesday, 25-year-old Jessica Whalley could not be revived by paramedics after she collapsed at Manor House Stables near Malpas in Cheshire, where she worked as a transport manager.

In the clip, Gemma talks to her fans about her life and how she was feeling after “a challenging few months”.

The Love Island star began: “The last month or two have been quite challenging – we’ve obviously lost my show horse Sirius.”

She continued: “After that I won’t lie, I really struggled a lot. Somehow coming to terms with losing him.

“It all happened so quickly, it was so shocking and then the kind of wholeness in my life and routine that it kind of left behind.

“As you know, I don’t have a few different show horses – he’s been my only horse for the past five years, I’ve had such a good relationship with him.

“It had an impact on everything, it took a massive toll on my confidence and the way I felt about myself in general. I felt pretty down, obviously that’s what you expect after the loss of an animal. It hit me right.

“I’m in a better place now, I wouldn’t say I got over it because I don’t think I’ll ever get over it properly.

“It all happened so quickly, it’s not like I had time to process it properly and I couldn’t see it coming. It was overnight.

“I’m fine, I’m fine and I’m much better. So I just keep going, feeling a lot better and just busy.

“You feel kinda guilty, we’ve got Faye now – the new horse I’ve hired until the end of the year.”

Gemma concluded: “But I wanted to do something, not fill that void and replace him because he would never be replaced. But I just needed the horses and that was sort of my safe place

Last month, following the death of her horse, she explained: “On Friday we lost the horse of my life to a sudden and serious illness. Words cannot describe how much this horse meant to me and my family.

“He really was one in a million. Anyone who has met Siz will know how amazing and caring his temperament was. He was taken way too soon, he left us all heartbroken and in utter shock.

“You have taught me so much Siz and I will never be able to thank you enough, you have brought so much joy and happiness into our lives and you will never be replaced. I love you endlessly.

Gemma’s update came after a beauty queen who died in Michael Owen’s stable passed out after falling off her horse, her heartbroken family claimed today.

Jessica Whalley, 25, was unable to be revived by paramedics after collapsing at Manor House Stables near Malpas in Cheshire, where she worked as a transport manager.

Speaking to MailOnline on Wednesday, a relative said she understood Miss Whalley “fainted before falling off a horse”. She added: “What can I say? It’s a terrible shock.”

Miss Whalley’s friend Allison Samuel previously claimed that the beauty queen died just days before her 26th birthday this Saturday and also said she died after falling off her horse.

But sources in the stable denied this, insisting it was “premature” to say so – calling it “an incident,” not an “accident”.

It comes as the Health and Safety Executive confirmed today that it would not be investigating the tragedy as the shock death was not believed to be “work-related”.

Ms Samuel, who used to work with Miss Whalley at Stables in Newmarket in Suffolk, told The Sun: “I just couldn’t believe it – we loved her dearly.

“She was such a nice girl who really enjoyed her job. She was popular – everyone liked her and she was a lovely young woman. This is so unexpected, she was so fit and healthy.

“And nice too – she could have been a model. It’s such a tragedy – this Saturday would have been her 26th birthday. We were told it was very sudden and [she] fell off her horse – so it was a terrible shock.”

The stables declined to comment further when approached by MailOnline about the claims regarding the horse.

A Health and Safety Executive spokesman said: “While this incident has been brought to our attention, we are not currently investigating the circumstances as we do not believe it was a work-related death.”

Owen and his staff are said to have been in tears following Miss Whalley’s death.

A spokesman for HM Coroner’s Office for Cheshire confirmed this morning to MailOnline that the death was referred to his office yesterday but a decision on an inquest has not yet been made as the case is “at a very early stage”.
