Girl, 12, is fighting for her life after being hit by a car

A 12-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being hit by a vehicle in southern Queensland.
Police said the incident happened just after 12pm on Pialba-Burrum Heads Rd on Dundowran Beach in Hervey Bay on Saturday.
The girl suffered head injuries and was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in critical condition.
She was then flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital.
The road was closed to forensic technicians investigating the crime scene.
