Girlfriend breaks out over NSW man’s intimate relationships with plastic sex doll Karina

An Australian man in an “intimate” relationship with a plastic doll has revealed that his online girlfriend initially fumed when she found out about the unusual pairing.

Aussie Rod – not his real name – from rural NSW bought the doll in 2021 after going through an intense period of solitude that saw him not having physical contact with a woman for two years.

After long Covid lockdowns, the carpenter felt isolated and his sanity had declined, so he turned to the internet and discovered the world of sex dolls.

Rod admitted that he initially found the company “new and scary” and had no idea about the existence and proliferation of online sex dolls.

He paid $3,000 for his own life-size “physical synthetic companion,” which he dubbed Karina Luvly, in October 2021.

Rod told 7News that he quickly felt not only the physical benefits of his new relationship with Karina, but also an improvement in his emotional well-being.

Suddenly, out of the void, I had something that needed nurturing and nurturing and improvement in a feminine way,” he said.

‘It was nice.’

But when Rod broke the news to his real-life partner a month after buying Karina, she didn’t share his newfound happiness.

“We argued about it, and she didn’t understand,” he said.

“The first thing she feels is threatened and wonders why.”

Rod had only met his partner online seven months earlier, but the couple had never met as they lived more than 5000km away.

He said he had to explain to her that the mannequin was just “keeping him company.”

His partner eventually “accepted” the strange situation after realizing how important Karina was to him and how the doll had helped his mental health.

Rod said his real-life partner was upset when he first told her about his relationship with Karina (Ron pictured with his dolls Karina and Lauren).

Rod has since bought a second doll which he named Lauren.

After finding a new life through his relationship with Karina, he decided to pursue portrait photography and use the doll as his models.

He set up an Instagram account for Karina – @karina_luvly – where he dresses her and poses her in various scenes, complete with different hair and makeup styles. Karina’s account has more than 11,500 followers.

He didn’t have a “big social network” before, but through Karina he has found a supportive online community of other men who own sex dolls.

He discovered that other men could share their own similar experiences with dolls and talk to each other about “their problems.”

Rod even introduced Karina to his 85-year-old mother, who initially “looked at her like she was poison” before accepting that the doll was an important part of her son’s life.

Due to the success of Karina’s Instagram account, Rod was offered a job photographing dolls for a manufacturer in China and he said his partner will be by his side on the journey.
