Grace Hyland: Australian transgender activist joins OnlyFans

The transgender daughter of former Home and Away star Mat Stevenson, who made international headlines when she spoke about her transition on The Project as a child, has joined adult website OnlyFans.

Grace Hyland announced her entry into the “exclusive content” business on Sunday, posting a video to Instagram of herself dancing in her bedroom next to the now-familiar phrase, “Link in bio.”

Creating racy content for OnlyFans marks quite a departure for 20-year-old Grace, who was previously known for using social media to campaign for trans rights and acceptance.

It costs $15 a month to subscribe to Grace’s account. It also offers three- and six-month subscription plans for $45 and $90, respectively.

“As a trans woman, I love embracing my femininity and the body I’ve fought so hard to have! Come and see what I am!’ Her bio states.

As of Tuesday, Grace has uploaded 60 posts that do not contain any custom requests.

Her father Mat Stevenson, who became a household name with his role as Adam Cameron on Home and Away, was also supportive of his daughter.

He discussed Grace’s transition on The Sunday Project in January 2021 and revealed how his friends reacted to learning of his child’s gender identity.

He said while some of his friends were “pretty seamless” and “got it,” others were struggling and he asked them to just “show some empathy.”

Grace said she knew she was supposed to be a woman from the age of “four or five” and started making the switch when she was 12.

She consulted doctors, psychologists and experts in the field for a year before starting any physical treatment.

“I came out at 12 and then went through a gradual transition until I was 14 to grow my hair, fix my name change and get rid of my blockers,” she said.

“And then, when I was 14, I presented myself completely as Grace in public and at school.”

Grace revealed she knew she was supposed to be female by the age of “four or five.” Her dad said while some of his friends were “pretty seamless” and “got it,” others struggled and he asked them to just “show some empathy.”

Grace said she wouldn’t be where she is today without her father’s support.

Mat also highlighted the shocking suicide rate among transgender teenagers and said he doesn’t want his daughter “to become one of those statistics”.

Grace has since been an activist and educator on transgender issues on TikTok.
