Prince Harry has been accused of turning the royal family ‘into an episode of the Kardashians’ – as social media react to his reunion with ITV.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, sat down with Tom Bradby for a prime-time television interview as part of a publicity blitz for his controversial memoir, Spare.
In a series of bomb attacks that turned the knife on his closest family members, Harry claimed the royals had tried to protect their own reputations “to the detriment” of him and Meghan and that they were “complicit” in their “pain and suffering” .
He described an uneasy relationship between his wife and Kate Middleton, while also addressing the rift with his brother and his sensational accusation that Camilla was plotting to marry Charles.

Prince Harry twisted the knife with a series of bombs thrown at family members during the interview

Prince Harry sat down for her first primetime interview tonight to promote his memoir Spare
But social media has exploded amid the bombshell interview, with claims of “hypocrisy” about Harry’s desire to reach his family privately when he publicly discusses behind-closed-door talks.
One user tweeted: “Harry literally turns the British monarchy into an episode of The Kardashian. That’s flinching.’
Another said: “If you want communications with your family to remain private then why are you doing this interview?! So contradictory.
A third added: “He wants every future conversation to be private but is sitting here telling us what other ‘private’ conversations they’ve had.”
A fourth tweeted: “Never in my life have I heard such hypocritical, delusional, selfish, narcissistic ramblings!!
“He actually said he ‘hopes’ his family can respect HIS privacy while he talks incessantly to the world’s press about THEM! KNOWING they can’t answer!’

The Duke of Sussex talks a lot about his mother in his new memoir, Spare, which is due out in the UK on January 10
During the 90-minute interview, Harry also suggested that senior royals helped “damage” his and Meghan’s reputations, forced her to move to California and “showed no willingness to reconcile.”
But he sensationally admitted his family wasn’t racist, although he blames them for “unconscious bias”.
He also supported the Queen’s former lady-in-waiting, Lady Susan Hussey, who was embroiled in a toxic racing dispute last month, saying she “never meant any harm”.
Harry wasn’t paid for today’s interview, during which he alternated between answering questions from Bradby and reading excerpts from his memoir.
The Duke also claimed that his William and sister-in-law Kate’s “stereotyping” of his wife Meghan meant she was not welcome as a member of the royal family.
He said there were a lot of stereotypes about Meghan after she was introduced to the royal family because she was an “American actress, divorced, multiracial,” adding that even he was “guilty.”
Harry and Bradby joked how, after introducing Meghan to his family, he discovered his family were fans of Suits, the show she starred in while she was an actress.
But he said it was “fair” to say that, according to Bradby, “it’s just like that, almost from the start, they don’t get along.”
Harry also suggested that his family avoided accountability “for a lot of things” during his 90-minute sit-down.
Excerpts released include an alleged physical altercation between William and Harry and details of the feud between Meghan and Kate.
He also writes how he and William begged King Charles not to marry the Queen’s consort Camilla, who he feared might become his “wicked stepmother”, before suggesting she was plotting to take the crown take over and leaked stories to the press.
