Have Cheats Gone From Fortnite?

Can’t find the Imposters playlists in Fortnite? Here’s what you need to know.

Last year, Epic Games announced that it was launching a new Fortnite game mode called Imposters. Although inspiration was evidently drawn from Innersloth’s popular party game Among Us, it took Epic Games a full month to officially acknowledge the influence.

Fortnite’s Imposters mode follows a similar format to Among Us, adopting a third-person perspective rather than the top-down view of the original. Players would take on the role of either an agent or an imposter and tasked with defeating those in the opposing role.

But players who’ve jumped into Fortnite lately may have noticed the mode’s absence. So where has it gone?

As of Fortnite’s v21.50 update in Chapter 3 Season 3, Imposters playlists have been vaulted.

In the v21.50 blog post, Epic Games said, “We’ve been vaulting the Impostors playlists while our teams focus on other Fortnite projects.”

“We want to say thank you to everyone who trusted, cheated and of course brought together Peely Party during its limited release.”

At the time of writing, it’s unclear if Epic Games plans to reveal the game mode in the future. As is often the case with Fortnite, nothing is usually gone forever and limited timed mode might actually make a comeback.
