Holly Hagan fights back against body shaming trolls after her workout video sparked debate about her plastic surgery: ‘I know I look abnormal and terrible’

Holly Hagan has taken a stand against body-shaming trolls after a workout video she posted online sparked heated debate.

The 31-year-old Geordie Shore star – who gave birth to a son, Alpha-Jax, with her husband Jacob Blyth in June – has been working hard in the gym trying to shed her “pregnancy weight”.

But after sharing a candid workout session, Holly realized she’d received hateful comments targeting her postpartum shape and specifically her non-surgical butt lift.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Holly opened up about the backlash, telling trolls she was “completely conscious” about her looks and asking her followers, “What should I do?”

She began: ‘I think yesterday’s video caused some debate. I’m not sure why people think it’s a big secret that I had surgery 8 years ago? I’ve literally talked about this so many times.

“But I’m also not really sure what people expect from me. As if I had a mirror. I am fully aware of how I look at the moment.

“I know I look abnormal and horrible — don’t you think I see that every morning when I wake up?”

“And then when so much attention is drawn to it, the question becomes: what should I do? Am I supposed to just hide for the next nine months until I lose that weight?”

She continued: ‘The only reason my butt got like this is because I gained 50 pounds during pregnancy and am still 30 pounds heavier so once I lose it it will be totally fine.

“But obviously, unfortunately, those are the consequences of my actions.” And if people keep pointing it out: Should I start editing my photos? Because I know that people have something to say about that too.

“Or do I have to put a sign on my head every time I shoot an exercise video and say, oh, by the way, I had surgery eight years ago?” If you have eyes, I think it’s pretty obvious that it is is not a natural form.

“I’m already feeling very uncomfortable at the moment the way I see it. I’m feeling pretty insecure already, so is that necessary?” I thought it would be fun to post this video and get people to laugh a little.

It comes after Holly recently revealed she was forced to rush her baby son Alpha-Jax to the doctor after discovering a worrying rash on his neck and face.

The reality star recalled the horrific incident in a candid Instagram Stories post last month, before giving fans an update on the little one’s health.

Holly snuggled her sleepy son in bed and said: “I woke up this morning so an hour ago and when I came in he called the doctors this morning and they got him in straight away.”

“So we took him and we told them everything and they looked at his rash because he had a little rash on his face and around his neck.”

She continued, “But apparently they said it was nothing to worry about and they prescribed some Gaviscon for the infant.”

According to the NHS, the drug is prescribed to newborns to prevent gastric reflux, which causes bloating and can lead to a rash and discomfort.

Holly went on to say that some fans have warned her that the reflux suppressant medication could actually cause the little one more problems and lead to constipation.

The new mom later shared an update, writing: “Had hundreds of DM suggestions, thanks for taking the time to help!”.

“What strikes me from the news is that what works for one doesn’t work for another, and it’s just a case of trail-and-error where things are solved one by one.”

‘We used [baby formula] Kendamill and gave it to him [colic drops] “Infacol since week 1 and infacol helps with gas but doesn’t seem to help with digestion.”

“He’s screaming and pushing away the trapped wind, the sound is very different than what he’s making now and he’s defecating really regularly, and are you even a mom if you haven’t googled for different types of baby poop to make sure that he’s normal?”

She continued, “We’re back at the doctor’s next week so we’ll be talking about changing his milk and possibly anti-reflux or comport.”

“He doesn’t have any symptoms of milk allergy, you can usually tell by looking at his stool, but I can’t rule it out entirely.”

Holly concluded: “Apart from that he’s the happiest baby and that doesn’t bother him, he rarely cries unless he’s super tired!” We both sleep straight for six hours without shifts, for that I’m grateful.”

Before adding: “Will update you if something works x”.

The star confirmed the news that she had given birth shortly after going into labor in the greater Manchester area in an Instagram post.

In a quick post, she wrote, “Here it is!” We’re doing great. There will be a little hospital update on my blog tomorrow morning.

“A big thank you to the incredible staff at Wythenshawe Hospital.” I couldn’t have asked for a better birthing experience. I’m just enjoying our little baby bubble.’

Holly announced in January she was giving birth to her first child, six months after marrying National League footballer Jacob in Ibiza over the summer.

Announcing the news in a video with OK! Holly told Jacob, “Your patience, strength and resilience inspire me every day and I couldn’t imagine a strong role model for our future children.”

The video then showed Jacob unwrapping a gift that contained a positive pregnancy test, prompting a shocked reaction from the footballer.
