Holly Willoughby breaks her silence after Phillip Schofield left This Morning

Holly Willoughby breaks her silence with a gushing meal post after taking a break from ‘This Morning’ following Phillip Schofield’s surprise departure
Holly Willoughby has returned to social media for the first time since Phillip Schofield left This Morning.
The presenter has taken a hiatus from the ITV show after exiting amid claims the couple had fallen out and is expected to return on June 5.
Appearing in her first post since Phillip announced his departure on Saturday, Holly posed for a radiant picture which was shared on her lifestyle brand Wylde Moon’s Instagram account.
In it, the star proudly presented her attempt at making kedegree, a dish that Clodagh McKenna demonstrated on This Morning.
The post was captioned: “Would you like to join Holly and try @Clodagh_McKenna’s Kedegree?”

She’s back: Holly Willoughby has returned to social media for the first time since Phillip Schofield left This Morning, appearing in a post for her lifestyle brand Wylde Moon
“Holly says, ‘It’s easy to make and an absolute crowd pleaser whether you’re having it for brunch, lunch or dinner!’ It may be my first time making a kedgeree, but it definitely won’t be the last be!”Tap the link in our bio for the full recipe.’
When Holly returns, she will co-host This Morning with other members of the ITV family, while Phil will focus on other primetime projects.
This comes after it was announced Holly would not be returning to This Morning this week after Phillip left the show.
The duo’s reign as the ITV show’s star couple came to an end on Saturday when Phil stepped down with immediate effect.
The TV presenter left the show after reports of a feud with his co-host Holly and Thursday May 18 was his last show ever.
It was announced that Holly would be taking a break – although her time off was planned in advance.
The original plan was for the duo to have a week off during term break so Holly could spend time with her kids.
The planned break was completely normal for the former best friends – and had nothing to do with their recent “feud”.
Phillip Schofield missed a few crucial words during his final farewell to This Morning on Thursday – suggesting the veteran presenter already knew it would be his last goodbye, having left the show spectacularly today.
While Holly waved the usual cheery “See you Monday!” to viewers, Phil seemed resilient as he simply said “Bye!”
He admitted today that ‘This Morning’ has ‘become history’ after 10 days of intense media scrutiny and reports of a falling out between the two presenters.
In a statement released on Saturday, Phillip said: “I’ve always prided myself on covering fascinating stories on This Morning.” But recently, This Morning has become history itself.
“Throughout my career in television – including the very difficult last few days – I have always tried my best to be honorable and kind.
“I understand that ITV has decided the current situation cannot continue and I want to do what I can to protect the show I love.”
“As a result, I have agreed to step down from This Morning, effective immediately, in the hope that the show can see a bright future.”
“I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially the amazing viewers of This Morning – and see you at the Soap Awards next month.”
Following his announcement, Holly said: “It’s been over 13 great years hosting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all his knowledge, experience and humor.” Without him the sofa won’t feel like that anymore.’
This Morning host Craig Doyle was praised by fans after he filled in for Dermot O’Leary on Wednesday’s episode of the show.
The 52-year-old star took over from Dermot on his 50th birthday and co-helmed the show with Alison Hammond. He will also co-host Thursday’s episode.
The regular hosts on Friday were Alison and Dermot was drafted in after Phillip’s surprise departure from the program after announcing over the weekend he was quitting after 21 years on the iconic sofa.
