Horrifying moment: A Florida Instacart driver is mauled by a bloodthirsty German Shepherd while delivering packages, leaving her with huge medical bills

  • A mother of three was brutally mauled by a German Shepherd while completing an Instacart delivery
  • Diana Riveros required over 30 stitches and says she was unable to sleep after the traumatic attack
  • Riveros won’t be able to return to work to earn money for weeks

A Florida delivery driver was brutally attacked by a vicious German Shepherd as she dropped off food at a customer’s front door.

Diana Riveros, a mother of three from South Florida, was making an Instacart delivery in Cooper City on Oct. 6 when she was subjected to a surprise attack.

The attack came from a huge German Shepherd who pushed his owner out of the way as he fled the house and mauled Riveros in a shocking ambush that was caught on camera.

The violent dog left Rivero scarred and resulted in her needing over 30 stitches to her arm, hand, foot and leg.

Riveros told NBC6 She cannot sleep after the attack because she wakes up in fear of the dog that attacked her.

The harrowing video showed the dog charging at the innocent Instacart employee, knocking her to the ground while the owner tried to control the dog by throwing herself on it.

Riveros returned to her car, where she called police with bloody and shaking hands and screamed “Help me” on the phone.

She was taken to hospital for surgery, where she received over 30 stitches from her injuries.

The Instacart worker won’t be able to return to work for several weeks, leaving her with no income and no way to make money before an unrelated surgery becomes the difference between life and death.

Riveros said: “Lock up your dogs because we are the ones who will be affected. You never know how a dog will react to certain people.”

Instacart is an American delivery company based in San Francisco that operates a grocery delivery and pickup service through a website or app.

“Our teams have reached out to Ms. Riveros to provide a range of support services and ensure her well-being and safety following this incident,” an Instacart statement read in part. “We have also provided details about our injury protection for buyers.” The company said in a statement to NBC6 that the offer is insurance to protect buyers.

This is not the first time that one of the company’s employees has been involved in his client’s dangerous drama.

In 2022, an Instacart employee shared how she likely saved a customer’s life by alerting him to a potentially fatal propane leak in his home.

Jessica Higgs, who delivers groceries for the delivery service, broke down in tears in her viral video as she talked about how she followed her gut instinct and violated company policy to help the man.
