Horror as hockey star is horribly injured: Thousands of fans are being asked to leave Sheffield Stadium due to a ‘serious medical incident’ as paramedics rush to treat a seriously injured player

A hockey star was seriously injured at a game between teams Nottingham and Sheffield when fans were told to leave the stadium due to a “serious medical emergency”.

Adam Johnson is believed to have suffered a hockey stick injury to his neck during the game between Nottingham Panthers and Sheffield Steelers.

It is believed that around 8,000 fans witnessed the clash before play was quickly halted and umbrellas brought onto the pitch to shield the players involved.

One person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “About nightmares at the Panthers game tonight, I’m praying for Adam Johnson.”

Another said: “That was hands down the worst thing I’ve ever seen, I’m so sorry. “We’re all absolutely worried sick and praying for a miracle.”
