Horror as the Range Rover crashed into a London bus stop, injuring nine people, after leaving the road

Nine people were taken to hospital after a Range Rover left the road in London and collided with a queue of passengers waiting for a bus.
The shocking incident, which saw a person arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, happened in Aldwych at 3.30am this morning.
Police said the incident was not considered terrorist-related and that investigations were ongoing.
Dramatic images from the scene of the accident show the large vehicle lying scattered on the sidewalk with debris scattered around.
The car can be seen sticking out of the destroyed bus stop at an angle, indicating that it hit the object with some force.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 3.35am on Sunday October 29 to reports of a collision between a car and several pedestrians at a bus stop in Aldwych, WC2.”
“London Ambulance Service attended the scene and confirmed that eight pedestrians – no further details – were taken to hospital for treatment; Condition expected.
“A man aged in his 20s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving; He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
“Road closures remain in place.”
“The investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.” At this point, the incident is not classified as terrorist.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC quoting CAD 1295/29. Oct. to state.”
