House in Tewantin where teenagers were allegedly tortured is destroyed by fire

A so-called “house of horrors” where a young girl was allegedly tortured for hours was burned down just days after vigilantes threatened to destroy it.
The Sunshine Coast house where the 13-year-old was allegedly attacked by three girls, aged 14, 13 and 12 on March 11, burst into flames around 1.30am on Wednesday morning, with the roof collapsing.
According to the fire department, there were no people on the property at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.
The incident came just days after the Housing Commission’s property was boarded up after being ransacked and vandalized with graffiti messages including “JUSTICE 4 (the girl)”.
Police have declared a crime scene at the property and are waiting for it to be declared safe before conducting a full investigation.

The house (pictured inside) had been vandalized and ransacked days earlier
A shocking social media video had shown three people allegedly attacking the young girl by breaking bottles over her face and stabbing her with a kitchen knife while she was half-naked.
The footage also reportedly showed the girl being tied up, repeatedly slapped in the face as she begged for mercy, burned and trampled on, and knives thrown at her.
The three accused attackers, who are said to have lured the teenager to his home by inviting her to a party, have since been charged.
The trio are also accused of later having the 13-year-old girl shower to remove the blood.
Last week, Queensland Police launched an investigation after supporters of the teenager released an address for one of the alleged attackers.
They threatened to set their house on fire, throw bricks through the windows and attack the accused teenager.
On Thursday, Queensland Police said they had now opened an investigation into the threats and warned would-be vigilantes to back down in a statement to Daily Mail Australia.
“People trying to take matters into their own hands may very well have any weapon turned against themselves and suffer harm,” a spokesman said.
“In some cases, they could face legal action themselves depending on their actions.”

Several social media accounts in the name of the alleged ringleader have been bombarded with sinister threats.
“Let’s go – just an hour’s drive,” one posted on a post that revealed the alleged ringleader’s home address. ‘Me and the tribe are about to swing by your front door.’
Another wrote menacingly: “No more house just a pile of ashes.”
“She will cry and beg for me to stop,” threatened another. ‘Why is it still breathing?’ asked another.
Others have targeted the mother of one of the defendants and her sister.
“Everyone is after your daughters so spend as much time with them as possible because once they walk the streets they’re done for,” one threatening post vowed.
Police said their investigations were continuing, with a warning of serious potential consequences for retaliating or identifying anyone involved.
“To ensure the safety of the community, the police advises the public not to engage in any methods of disrupting criminal activity or retaliation that may involve the risk of personal injury or further legal remedies,” added a spokesman.
“Police have opened an investigation into this matter and it would be inappropriate to comment further and to identify a victim of crime.”
The eldest child has been remanded in custody pending an appearance in Maroochydore Children’s Court next month.

Meanwhile, Australians have rallied around the alleged victim, raising more than $35,000 for her in just 24 hours.
A GoFundMe appeal was launched by the alleged victim’s mother under a picture of her daughter’s bloodstained face, which quickly exceeded its original goal of $1111.
