How does the shield bubble work in Fortnite?

Shield Bubbles are back in Fortnite! But how do they work?
Fortnite’s latest v21.50 Battle Royale update saw the return of a number of stealth-based weapons. As part of Shadow of Phantasm week, the Suppressed Assault Rifle, Suppressed SMG, Shadow Bomb, and Shield Bubble have all been unearthed and are included in a series of limited-time quests.
But outside of these quests, knowing how to use the returning weapons and items effectively is important. One item that has caused a bit of confusion is the shield bubble. Here’s how to use it to your advantage.
The shield bubble works a bit like a grenade. Players can throw it on the ground to create a dome-like “bubble”. This bubble is then invulnerable to explosives and bullets fired from outside, giving players a quick respite from incoming fire.
shhh Be very quiet 🤫

The shield bubble lasts for 30 seconds and players can move in and out as needed. To destroy it sooner, players must destroy the object in the center that creates the bubble. The Shield Bubble can also be thrown onto a vehicle for a more mobile defense.
It’s important to note that the shield bubble doesn’t negate all damage. Shots can still be fired at other players if both parties are standing in the bubble, so camping in one for too long is not safe.
The Shield Bubble can be found as floor loot, in chests, and from Supply Drops.
