How Kyle Sandilands went off the rails after marrying Tamara Jaber and disappeared into Kings Cross

Kyle Sandilands is said to have disappeared and was going through a “rebellious” phase after his first marriage to Tamara Jaber failed in 2010.

The revelations came about the 52-year-old radio star in a function for the Young Rich edition of the Australian Financial Times.

Jackie “O” Henderson, Kyle’s longtime colleague and co-host of The Kyle and Jackie O Show, was interviewed in profile and shed light on this dark period in her co-worker’s life.

According to Henderson, Sandiland’s life took a tumultuous turn after splitting from his first wife, Tamara Jaber, in 2010.

The colleagues had spent weekends together for years, but after the breakup Sandilands seemed to fall apart.

He disappeared at weekends, constantly visiting nightclubs in Kings Cross and forming relationships with new, often controversial acquaintances.

Notable figures in his new circle included nightclub personality John Ibrahim, former luxury car dealer Nasser Elkordi and convicted drug dealer Simon Main.

“He obviously rebelled, I would say, in every way possible,” noted Henderson.

Interestingly, both Main and Ibrahim served as witnesses at Sandiland’s wedding to his now wife Tegan Kynaston, 37.

Kyle admitted just a few weeks ago that he “never recovered emotionally” from his marriage to Jaber.

The radio star said he was distraught after his ex-wife once rated her gender as a “two out of ten”.

“I never recovered emotionally,” the father-of-one admitted during a recent Kyle and Jackie O show.

Although he did not mention Tamara by name, he cited the damaging incident during his first marriage, which lasted from 2008 to 2010.

Jaber recently announced that she is expecting her first child with her fiancé Billy Kokkinis.

Tamara was previously engaged to San Francisco-based lawyer Eduardo Roy, but the couple appears to have ended the relationship in early 2021.

Tamara’s engagement news came a week after her ex-husband Kyle welcomed his first child, a son named Otto, with his now wife Tegan Kynaston.
