How many Pokemon are in it?

The Pokémon franchise has been successful for over 25 years. With the release of two new Switch games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the series enters its ninth RPG generation. For each new generation, a new region was introduced with many new Pokémon.

The total number of unique Pokémon species has reached over a thousand. Luckily for those looking to fill out each game’s respected Pokédex, no game has them all yet. Those might be curious as to how many are available in the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games. So many Pokémon players need the Scarlet and Purple Pokédex.

Both Scarlet and Violet have 400 Pokemon that can be found in each game. For the ninth generation, 107 new ones are added. Depending on which version a player chooses, there are some exclusive Pokemon.

It’s disappointing to hear that there are only 400 Pokemon to catch for some. After doing the math, that’s less than half of the entire Pokemon list. Some may be relieved that 400 is all they need to catch, while at the same time there are some who may find that 400 is too overwhelming to fill the Pokédex.

The great thing about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is that the game encourages players to forge their own paths. With its non-linear and open-world gameplay, players can do whatever they want in the Paldea region. So whether you catch six or all 400 is entirely up to you. How many Pokemon are in it?
