How much does Sam Kerr earn?

Sam Kerr reportedly made more than $3 million last year and after Australia fell in love with the Matildas during their World Cup season, the soccer superstar and her teammates could be a lot richer.

The Matildas finished fourth at the tournament after losing to England in the semifinals.

With more than 11 million watching the game across Australia, the World Cup has done wonders for our Australian women footballers and the Matildas brand.

Kerr is Australia’s highest-paid soccer player and reportedly pocketed $3.3 million last year.

This stunning figure takes into account her $600,000 salary from her club Chelsea, with the rest reportedly coming from sponsorship deals with Nike, Mastercard and EA Sports. The Australian Financial Report reported.

Kerr’s 13-year deal with Nike is valued at around $1 million.

Last year, she became the first player to appear on the cover of the video game FIFA 2023.

She recently secured an oceanfront vacant lot in the Perth suburb of North Coogee for $940,000.

Kerr grew up in the area and the 200 square meter apartment block is close to where her parents Roxanne and Roger Kerr live.

The block has approved plans for a 3 story townhouse and sits just behind the shoreline overlooking the ocean.

Kerr has also made sure to take time to enjoy her success despite her busy schedule, taking trips abroad with friends and her partner.

In May of last year, she and her friend, fellow soccer player Kristie Mewis, visited New York together.

In the same month she traveled to Spain for Formula 1, where she was able to spend time with the McLaren team.

The athlete also enjoyed a holiday in Bali in 2019 and shared some snaps of her on an ATV with a friend.

Kerr was also honored to fly on one of Nike’s private jets.

The value of the Matildas brand is set to increase to $210 million from $40 million once the World Cup is over.

The data was compiled by Brand Finance and looked at things like ticket and merchandise sales and television audiences.

Brand Finance Australia chief executive Mark Crowe said the team is now the most valuable sports brand in the country.

“They are now a very strong brand in the world of football and if you look at their strength in Australia they are on par with some of the strongest private labels in the country,” Crowe said The guard.

“The challenge is to maintain that strength beyond the World Cup, a stellar event that draws incredible focus and attention for a month.”

This increase in value should open the door to more sponsorship deals for Kerr and other now-familiar names like Ellie Carpenter, Hayley Raso, Mary Fowler, Caitlin Foord and Mackenzie Arnold.

The second highest paid Australian player is Carpenter, who reportedly earned $1.2 million playing for her French club Olympique Lyon.

Behind Carpenter is Emily van Egmond, who earned nearly $400,000 last year.

The Matildas are currently sponsored by Commonwealth Bank, Qantas, Subway, Lego, Nike, Cadbury, Priceline and Spanish automaker Cupra.
