Cristiano Ronaldo received a Flashback SBC item during the post-Lionel Messi World Cup update. With Ronaldo amicably terminating his contract with Manchester United, Ronaldo’s flashback card has no club and is geared towards the Portugal national team, meaning he will be harder to link. Also, this is the second time Ronaldo has received a Flashback SBC in FIFA Ultimate Team.

This new card looks fun, but fans will not be satisfied with the price assigned.

This SBC comes in around 500,000 coins to complete from scratch. Just an absolute slap in the face to EA Sports. The argument for using these types of Flashback Era cards for high-end meta items is that players can work towards getting a version of Cristiano Ronaldo or, say, Messi in their clubs. The only problem with this is that getting Messi or Ronaldo in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team is extremely easy.

Ronaldo’s gold piece costs 72,500 coins on the transfer market. And his gold card does offer club ties with Premier League and Manchester United players. The card itself isn’t bad, it’s well balanced and looks like a fun attacker with good positional flexibility. The price is just ridiculous when you consider everything.
