Xabi Alonso FIFA 23 Team of the Year Icon SBC went live on January 28th during the Team of the Year promotion.

TOTY Icons are a new addition to the annual promotion as part of the Campaign Icons initiative for FIFA 23. Instead of having Prime Icon Moments, EA Sports has chosen to remove these elements and release dedicated icons throughout the year. TOTY Icons are an upgrade of their Prime versions, making them the best version of these players currently available.

This is arguably the best value for money SBC has released across Team of the Year. TOTY icon Xabi Alonso has received a +10 pace boost, among other upgrades, making him a strong defensive or box-to-box midfielder.

The SBC has around 400,000 coins to complete from scratch, an increase of nearly 300,000 coins by purchasing its tradable Prime version on the transfer market. Still, most would argue that the price is justified given the upgrade. Also, you have until April 28th to complete the map. Players have many methods to craft fodder to lower coin price as well.
