How to get a broom in Hogwarts Legacy

Players delving into Hogwarts Legacy will be excited to get their hands on a broom to start flying across the map. Here’s what you need to know.

Hogwarts Legacy, the latest RPG from Warner Bros. Games, transports players to the wizarding world of the 19th century. With an original story, players find themselves as students who begin their journey at Hogwarts as fifth graders. Throughout the game, players will visit a variety of new and familiar locations, encounter magical creatures, and learn a wide variety of spells to aid in their journey.

One feature that has excited many fans is the broomstick flight, many of which want to explore the grounds of Hogwarts from the air. But the ability will not be available to players immediately.

To unlock the broomstick flight in Hogwarts Legacy, players must progress through the main story until prompted to make their way to the flight class.

As you can imagine, Flying Class includes a tutorial about flying broomsticks. After class, players must make their way to Hogsmeade and head to Spintwitch’s Sporting Needs Store. Here players can buy their own broom.

Once purchased, players can fly around the open world of Hogwarts Legacy, minus some restricted areas. Unfortunately, Quidditch cannot be played as an in-game sport, but players can still get a feel for the flight mechanics on the site.

Hogwarts Legacy launches February 10th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game launches April 4th for PS4 and Xbox One, then July 25th for Nintendo Switch.
