How to get Dead Space 2 for free

Dead Space franchise fans can grab a copy of Dead Space 2 for free. That’s how it’s done.

Dead Space, a remake of EA’s 2008 survival horror game of the same name, is slated for release on January 27, 2023, along with Star Wars: Squadrons and the Star Wars Battlefront II single-player campaign.

The game will feature new and redesigned assets, character models and environments, all taking advantage of modern console systems. But the story of protagonist Isaac Clarke doesn’t end with Dead Space, as the series spawns two sequels.

For those who are gearing up to continue Isaac’s journey after finishing Dead Space, there is a way to get Dead Space 2 for free.

Players who pre-order Dead Space Remake on PC will receive a free copy of Dead Space 2 redeemable through Steam.

PC copies of the upcoming Dead Space are available for pre-order for $59.99, $10 cheaper than console versions.

Unfortunately, the offer does not apply to Xbox and PlayStation players. Dead Space pre-orders for consoles will not include a copy of Dead Space 2.

While Dead Space 2 is playable on Xbox Series X|S thanks to Xbox 360 backwards compatibility, the game is not available on PlayStation.

Xbox players have even more options. EA Play subscribers have access to all Dead Space games, including co-op-enabled Dead Space 3, as part of the subscription.
