How to get free Fortnite skins in February 2023

Everyone loves free cosmetics in Fortnite, so are there free skins in February 2023?

Players don’t have to spend a penny to enjoy Fortnite, but many are happy to spend a little money on a nice skin every now and then. Epic Games can also be pretty generous, giving players the chance to snag some free skins on a regular basis.

The most common freebies from Epic Games are usually other in-game items, namely emotes, sprays, and the occasional back bling. But an entire free skin isn’t uncommon either, and can be a big deal.

This February there are two free skins that players can claim, but they have some limitations. One free skin on sale is for PlayStation Plus subscribers. This exclusive Blue Phoenix Pack gives players a free Jun Hwan skin, along with the Ember Holster Back Bling and Ember Baton Pickaxe.

Another free skin up for grabs is the Xander skin, available to players who sign up for the Refer a Friend initiative and complete all the assigned tasks.

Players previously had the chance to snag two additional skins through Fortnite’s Winterfest event: Arctic Adeline and Sled Ready Guff. Unfortunately, Winterfest 2022 has come to an end and the two skins can no longer be claimed. Still, Winterfest 2023 will likely start again this December, and more skins and cosmetics will be made available for free.

Keep an eye out for additional events and tournaments starting in Fortnite throughout the year. Free cosmetics, including skins, are sometimes awarded to those who complete challenges, participate in special tournaments, and participate in certain events.
