How to Improve Cities: Skylines 2 Optimization

The launch of Cities: Skylines 2 is not going as planned. The city building game has only been out for a few days and players are not very happy with it. Cities: Skylines 2 has a mixed review on Steam: 54% of the 15,113 reviews were positive. The negative reviews mention many issues, from performance issues like a drop in frame rate to major bugs like broken buildings.

All of this leads to a frustrating gaming experience, and no one wants that. Here’s how players can improve Cities: Skylines 2.

Colossal Order heard the community’s complaints. The developer recently shared some of them solutions.

The company stated that Virtual Texturing allows your computer to render the game’s updated textures. Depending on your hardware, this shouldn’t take more than a minute. Players can see the virtual texturing process in the Notifications tab on the home screen.
