How to use the Falcon Scout in Fortnite

Fortnite’s latest update introduced the Falcon Scout, a great tool for looting and scouting in Battle Royale.

As the main new item available with the Chapter 4 v23.20 update, the Falcon Scout offers players a handful of new abilities to use in-game. Although the item cannot be used as a weapon, it has other essential properties that make a player’s game play much easier and safer.

The Falcon Scout is a remote controlled object that flies in a radius around your location. Acting as another pair of eyes while you remain stationary, the Falcon Scout can survey an area, ping or place markers and croak to mark all enemies within that radius.

The Falcon Scout is also an effective looting tool. Without having to move, players can simply deploy the Falcon Scout and have the item looted for them. The Falcon Scout can open containers and pick up floor loot to bring back to your location. While in a bind, the Falcon Scout can even fly and retrieve a fallen teammate’s restart card as long as they are within maximum radius.

Despite the Falcon Scout’s many benefits, using the item will leave a player vulnerable. It’s important to make sure you’re either in a safe place before using the item, or that your squad is nearby to keep an eye on you. The Falcon Scout itself is also vulnerable to damage from enemy players.

Falcon Scouts can be found on the ground, in normal chests, Oathbound Chests, and Supply Drops. Once there is one in your inventory, select the fire button and deploy the Falcon Scout. You can control it like a drone and use it as you need to secure the Victory Royale. How to use the Falcon Scout in Fortnite
