Huey Morgan breaks his silence about his exit from Fun Lovin’ Criminals by calling ex-bandmates “sad and scary” for blocking him

Huey Morgan has finally spoken out about leaving the Fun Lovin’ Criminals after his former bandmates blocked him on X/Twitter.

The 55-year-old musician rose to fame in the mid-1990s as a member of the rap-rock group he founded with Brian Leiser and Steve Borgovini.

The band, best known for their 1996 hit Scooby Snacks, released six albums between 1996 and 2010.

Huey decided to leave the group in 2021, but did not address the reasons for his departure at the time.

The singer has now commented on his departure and said his ex-bandmates tried to “surprise” him.

Huey shared a poster announcing that Fun Lovin’ Criminals would be heading to Australia next year and wrote: “I understand why they blocked me.” I’m trying to make a quick break Down Under and don’t want to, for you all to know that I’m no longer in the band.

“This is sad and scary, y’all. “Now just a tribute act…”

Fun Lovin’ Criminals released a statement in November 2021 confirming Huey’s departure, writing, “Huey has officially confirmed his departure from the band.” We wish him all the best in his endeavors.

“We will continue as Fun Lovin’ Criminals because of the love and dedication we have for our music and our fans.” More details to come.”

In an Instagram Live in March 2022, Brian Leisner and Frank Benbini confirmed that their relationship with Heuy was “strained.”

The couple said Huey decided he didn’t want to tour with the band and would rather focus on presenting and DJing.

Brian also claimed that Huey didn’t want to play much of the band’s back catalog during the shows and that they had been playing the same set for years.

“We were bored and some fans were bored too.” “That was one of the reasons cracks appeared in our relationship,” he said.
