Hulk shows off his bulging muscles during intense training as he begins pre-season training

Brazil star Hulk has lived up to his name with a series of shots showing the forward’s muscles bursting out of his training shirt.

The former Porto star is now back in his homeland with Atletico Mineiro but even at the age of 36, the striker still seems to be in phenomenal shape.

In a video and series of shots posted to the club’s Instagram feed, it shows the Mineiro players in pre-season training, including the muscular image of Hulk – real name Givanildo Vieira de Sousa.

In the clip, Hulk performs a leg exercise and as he grimaces as he lifts the weights, his muscles bulge out of his shirt and his legs show the full extent of their power.

The video is complemented by a series of shots showing the Brazilian finishing his training session looking in great shape.

Hulk returned to Brazil in January 2021, fifteen years after leaving to pursue his football career around the world.

The Brazilian striker, who has scored 65 goals for Mineiro, had more practice to do

He made his name in the early 2010s playing for Porto before joining Zenit St Petersburg. The striker also completed two stints in Japan towards the end of his career and moved from the port of Shanghai to Mineiro in 2021.

Since joining Mineiro, Hulk has enjoyed a trophy-filled return to Brazilian football. Win the Brasileiro Serie A, Copa do Brasil, Supercopa do Brasil and two Campeonato Mineiros.

His form earned him a call-up to the Brazil squad last year, five years after he last played for his country.

In 114 games for Mineiro, Hulk has scored 65 goals and collected 18 assists for the Brazilian side.
