I am 102 years old and the secret of a long life is good SEX
When asked what the secret to a long and happy life was, a 102-year-old woman answered honestly: good sex.
Essex’s Joyce Jackman, who turned 102 on May 9, revealed her secret to living for over a century.
The former RAF cook told staff at her care home that “good sex and good sherry” are key to her fulfilling life.
Joyce celebrated her birthday at Care UK’s Silversprings, Thorrington, where the staff surprised her with a cake.
Her family came to celebrate her birthday with her and the 102-year-old said she “don’t want the day to end”.

Care UK’s Silversprings staff surprised Joyce with a birthday cake. She joked that all the chocolate she eats must have played a part in her turning 102, too
Joyce said, “I had such a nice day.
“I can’t believe I’m 102 – it must be all the chocolate I’m eating that helped!”
In her early life, Joyce worked in a candy store before joining the RAF as a cook during World War II.
Joyce, now widowed, married her childhood sweetheart Terence Jackman in 1945, the year the war ended.
Although they never had children, Joyce loved helping out with childcare in her neighborhood, enjoyed baking with her mother, and hanging out with her friends.
Now at Silversprings, Joyce enjoys keeping her mind busy with regular crossword puzzles and keeping up to date with the daily newspaper – and also enjoys lots of chocolate.
Joanne Rix, Home Manager at Silversprings added: “Joyce is a very popular resident of the home – she always makes us laugh with her fantastic sense of humor and attitude to life.”
“It was wonderful to be a part of her special day.
“Here at Silversprings, we work hard to help residents live fulfilling lives, and celebrating special occasions and birthdays plays a big part in that.”
“It was an honor to toss a glass of sherry at Joyce’s incredible life to date and we are privileged to have her as part of our Silversprings family.”
This comes after a 102-year-old doctor shared her tips for living a long and fulfilling life while staying focused on the future with her 10-year plan.
