I broke the internet after falling at the parents race on sports day and showing my butt

The mother, whose bare bottom went viral when she did a face planting at her daughter’s Parents Run on Sports Day, said she promised her children she would “never” compete again.
Katie Hannaford, 37, from Basildon, Essex, was left red-faced after her then eight-year-old talked her into running last summer.
Funny footage showed the mum lining up in the third lane from the left – only for Katie, the owner of a homewares business, to end up hitting her face on the ground during the race.
Unfortunately, the dress slipped over her head, revealing her underwear to the whole crowd.
Speak with LAD Bible Over the weekend, Katie opened up about the viral moment, revealing that she will now “never again” be banned from parent races.

“I promised my girls that I would never do a ‘parent race’ again,” the mother revealed.
“At my daughter’s dance competition recently, there was a parents’ dance. They announced it, the girls looked at me and said “No mom”. I have agreed to renounce it!’
When asked if she would be attending this year’s sports day, Katie said: “Absolutely not, as much as it was fun I think my running days are over!”
She also opened up about her daughter’s reaction to the aftermath of her fall, with Katie revealing: “She thought it was funny.” She said everyone at school talked about it but it was great fun.’
A few days after the footage went viral, Katie revealed she had received 500 messages from admirers from around the world and that she and her children are being recognized in her hometown, at her Tesco and online.
After coming to terms with the fact that her butt was a sensation, Katie admitted The mirror that she drew attention.
“I’ve received thousands of messages – at least 500 of them from men from Greece through Puerto Rico, Germany and even Australia saying ‘how are you single?’ and calling me a ‘MILF’,” Katie said.
The mother-of-two added she received touching messages, including one telling her the video was the first thing that made her smile for the first time in half a year.

Speaking to LADbible over the weekend, Katie (pictured) opened up about the viral moment, revealing that she will now “never again” be banned from parent races.

When asked if she would be attending this year’s sports day, Katie said: “Absolutely not, as much as it was fun I think my running days are over!” (pictured with her youngest daughter)
Katie, who described herself as “clumsy”, admitted she’d also received messages with ill intentions. but said they could not reach her.
She added that she had no intention of being famous and that it just happened to her.
She added that with hindsight, most people would call her a good athlete and “great mom.”
“The whole world has seen my butt now, but it is what it is — I can’t hide from it.” “I don’t care,” she said.
Katie also recalled: “I’m not athletic at all, but [my daughter] kept begging me. In the end I agreed to run – I knew I would finish last. I just tripped over my own feet – I think my body was just moving too fast for my legs! I’m so clumsy that I keep falling over.
“I felt humiliated at the time, but it is what it is!” I flaunted my underwear, which of course is embarrassing, but you just have to own it. In retrospect, it’s hilarious. Definitely the funniest thing I’ve ever done in my life!’
