I “detoxed” my boyfriend’s dreadlocks for the first time in SIX YEARS – the results have been so satisfying

A woman has opened up about what happened when she ‘detoxed’ her boyfriend’s dreadlocks for the first time in six years – and viewers were shocked by the results.

Alessandra Sophia, 20, originally from Austria, loved her tick tock Report to reveal the grueling process behind “detoxifying” her partner’s hair.

The mechanic revealed that a combination of baking soda, lemon juice and apple cider vinegar was used for the elaborate wash.

Detoxing is a proven method of deep-cleansing dreadlocks, allowing the hair to rid itself of product build-up, oils and dirt over time.

During the instructional video, viewers could watch as she washed and rinsed his hair a total of three times.

However, people were confused by the TikToker’s video and wondered if it was just a regular wash.

Although the mechanic enjoyed the process, she did notice that her hands felt

Although the mechanic enjoyed the process, she did notice that her hands felt “numb” from the strenuous three-round wash.

She wrote, ‘First time detoxing my boyfriend’s dreadlocks who was six years old.’ His hair is so long.’

Alessandria filled a bucket with warm water from the shower and used it to wet her boyfriend’s hair.

She was then seen adding baking soda, lemon juice and apple cider vinegar to the mixture.

The mixture slowly began to foam and eventually turned a muddy brown color as the dirt oozed out of her partner’s dreadlocks.

She repeated the process two more times before revealing a fresher, cleaner and healthier pair of dreadlocks in a second Video.

She explained that her hands were “numb” afterward and even commented “wowwww” at the amazing transformation.

Viewers didn’t share her opinion, however, and one questioned why she did it in the first place. They wrote: “Just curious what it means to detox dreads?” And why are you doing it???’

Another added: “Unpopular opinion: You don’t do much because as soon as you add the vinegar to the baking soda, the solution is neutralized.”

“I have so many questions,” said a third.

Someone else asked, ‘Detox is equivalent to a wash?’ Or is it a different process and he’s still taking care of his scalp and hair?’

Another added, “why doesn’t it smell if he hasn’t washed it in so long?” I’m not trying to be rude, just curious.

To which Alessandra replied: “Because he washed it regularly.”

Another asked: “Doesn’t his hair itch?”

“As someone from Asia who is unfamiliar with it, I’m curious as to why people do it? ‘Is it for fashion reasons or what?’ asked another.

The video has since gone viral and has been viewed over 7 million times.
