  • The model spoke negatively about the men who used the dating platform
  • She described a terrifying encounter with a Raya match in a restaurant

A Canadian model shared a shocking date story on TikTok about why people shouldn’t use the dating app Raya.

Celeste Aria claims that she went on a few dates with a man that didn’t work out, but her encounter with him a year later at an exclusive restaurant scared her so much that she never went back.

“I beg you not to join Raya,” Celeste pleaded with her followers last Friday.

She continued: “Men motivated enough to take on Raya are fucking crazy – sociopaths, egomaniacs… They’re just there to chase.”

Celeste told viewers that she joined Raya in 2021 after filling out an application without a recommendation.

She then focused on the women who use the app to discuss and target the men who use the app.

She suggested, “Think about the psychology of a man joining Raya.”

“Find out about the app, apply or ask a friend to recommend it, pay for it, and they’ve probably been paying for it for more than a few months.”

Celeste tried and failed at a possible relationship with a man she matched with on Raya.

However, when the two spotted each other after breaking up, the man wasn’t exactly keen to see her.

She explained: “He’s standing on the couch… and he opens his eyeballs really wide.”

The man stared at her for “30 full minutes,” which terrified Celeste.

She continued: “I tried not to acknowledge him because I didn’t want him to approach me and my friends. “He did his best to basically scare me and seem strange in public spaces.”

Celeste knew the man belonged to the establishment where she had seen him and decided never to return because she was “rightfully afraid.”

She also admitted, “I’m also a little scared of the other people I matched with because they got kind of weird, moody and creepy on Instagram.”

“I felt so insecure and all the guys were so crazy and so sociopathic – just be careful with their ladies.”

Raya is a private membership community that started as a dating app but has since evolved into a platform for networking and social discovery.

It was launched in 2015 and can be used on iPhones and iPads for $9.99 per month.
